 Job Summary:

Ingersoll Rand is searching for a professional prospect dedicated to enhancing our organizational efficiency and effectiveness by implementing and overseeing continuous improvement initiatives. She/he will play a vital role in identifying areas for improvement, analyzing processes and developing strategies to optimize workflow and eliminate waste, along with safeguarding the quality of our products. She/he will often work across various departments to foster a culture of innovation and efficiency within the organization. She/he will drive the strategic target of producing quality, not measuring quality, ultimately pursuing continuous improvement according to the pillars of ISO 9001:2105 standards in risk management, change management, extended sustainability

 

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives in the Ingersoll Rand site of Parma, factually cascading IR core guidelines in daily standard works, starting by consistent performance and development goals setting through corporate portal and related tools
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization, with regular (at least quarterly) information and best practice sharing session with other sites in EMEIA region (or outside when convenient)
  • Identify and prioritize process improvement projects based on business goals, creating project charter for each with clear team definition by competences and ownership and direct lead on deliverable milestones and gate reviews to be duly track in IRX (Ingersoll Rand Executive Excellence) standard works
  • Lead site and extra site cross-functional teams in day-by-day routine to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies, identifying and analyzing process improvement opportunities, by programmed upgrade of processes settled in the past, finalization of processes tentatively drafted in the past and constant addition of new processes triggered by business and organization enhancement. Directly update and share the tool that provides due visibility to stakeholders of action plans, achieved goals, targets missed and recovery plan. Track the progress through IRX (Ingersoll Rand Executive Excellence) standard works
  • Daily monitor correct and regular execution of QDIP driven activities, extending the methodology where missing but needed and directly leading 2nd level weekly review with due procedural discipline and compliance to efficiency targets in terms of closure rate and timing of open issues.   • Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics, starting by KPI’s and periodical reviews as driven by EMEA Quality reporting discipline and adding calibration and extension to specific business and site needs with full traceability in IRX (Ingersoll Rand Executive Excellence) standard works.
  • Directly conduct periodical internal audit as driven by ISO 9001:2015 directive, consolidating standard approach from the background, adding or enhancing tracking tools (check list matrix and report templates) where required, adding value by driving audited managers to risk management and extended sustainability approach. Directly update records of audit planning and reports, shared with site management
  • Directly lead periodical external audit to suppliers as driven by ISO 9001:2015 directive, consolidating standard approach from the background, adding or enhancing tracking tools (check list matrix and report templates) where required, proactively driving activities planning and involving critical stakeholders (managers, audited managers to risk management and extended sustainability approach. Directly update records of audit planning and reports, shared with site management
  • Directly conduct qualification audit requested by clients, consolidating / updating records of frequently asked questions / information and leading live audit sessions
  • Plan yearly (at least two) workshops and training sessions on continuous improvement methodologies, involving site management and extended to additional critical stakeholders by areas of competence.
  • Tigger and report on the progress of improvement projects, with extended usage of IRX (Ingersoll Rand Executive Excellence) and related standard work tools such as but not limited to Policy Deployment review and Impact Daily Management.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
  • Lead direct report(s) team

 

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in continuous improvement roles and quality system management roles, best if in multinational corporate or at least in medium-large size company, preferably in manufacturing sectors (mechanical manufacturing representing a very nice to have background).
  • Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management culture.
  • Improvement Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Leadership: Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Data Analysis: Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Change Management: Change management expertise.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and staying updated on industry best practices.
  • Communication: public speaking familiarity, comfortably presenting live or in conference call to restricted and extended audience, both with basic or deep competence background.
  • Certified qualification – ISO 9001 CQA 1st level (internal auditor) as must have qualification; 2nd level (2nd party partners auditor) very nice to have qualification; 3rd level (independent auditor) nice to have.
  • Language: mother tongue or alike Italian, fluent spoken and written English.
  • IT: MS Office pack (medium - deep Excel expertise), ERP familiarity (SAP very nice to have)
  • LOCATION: IR site of Parma as pivotal location, availability to travel to other IR sites on quarterly basis
