Job Summary

As Sales Manager (south est Region of France), you ensure the prospecting, monitoring and development of a clientele generating or that can generate a turnover and a strategic stake for the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Definition of commercial targets

- Define, in conjunction with the Group Sales & Marketing departments and its direct management, the business sectors and/or the types of companies targeted for business development
- Centralize all market and business information

- Define the means to be implemented to make the commercial approach effective: telephone prospecting, sending commercial documentation…

- Ensure competitive intelligence in its sector or geographical area and recommend the necessary actions to gain market share and develop the company’s business

 

  • Commercial prospecting activity

- Identify relevant contacts within targeted companies

- Implement sales prospecting and follow up on prospects contacted

- Respond to tenders issued by prospects

- Present and adapt the commercial offer to the needs expressed by the prospect accounts

- Track requests for encryption in close collaboration with the relevant department

- Provide costing as needed

- Monitor and develop the various sales channels (Direct Sales, Distribution, etc.) in order to increase orders in your sector

 

  • Commercial negotiation

Advise the customer on the technical choice of the product according to their needs

- Negotiate, sign and have sales contracts signed

- Achieve sales in full compliance with the company’s pricing policies and compliance with requested margins

 

  • Monitoring and development of existing accounts

- Retain existing accounts by growing revenue generated by each customer

- Identify new customer contacts to deploy the commercial offering

- Ensure regular monitoring of customer needs

- Respond to any commercial or technical requests regarding the company’s offer

- Manage area of responsibility to optimize results

- Checking compliance with contractual elements

- Monitor customer satisfaction on after-sales service and operational activities (order processing, deliveries, etc.)

 

  • Manage or coordinate the administrative part (billing, reminder...)

 

  • Reporting

 

  • EH&S and continuous improvement

 

Basic Qualifications

(Essential qualifications, language, driving licence etc)

• Higher education with a technical and commercial focus

• 3 years experience in a similar role in technical product business development

• Knowledge of agri-food, environment, oil and gas markets would be a plus

• English and French speaking

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Travel is expected in the targeted commercial area.
