Position Summary

Apprenticeship contract as part of a Master's degree (2 years) or engineering school (3 years)

 

Attached to the Technical & After-Sales team of the Transport Solutions and Fuel System Divisions of the Gardner Denver/Ingersoll Rand Group, on the Saint-Quentin-Fallavier site, you will assist the Technical & After-Sales Manager in the daily management of his/her tasks.

You will be responsible for studying and designing complete components and systems (systems dedicated to bulk transfer solutions related to mobile applications). The solutions to be studied are multidisciplinary, namely: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic. You will also be responsible for their sizing, documentation and validation under the responsibility and support of the technical and after-sales manager. You are in constant collaboration with the technical manager, your colleagues in the sales department, customer service and service department. As part of your missions, you will also be required to interact with colleagues and factories based abroad.

 

You will be required to visit suppliers and customers in France and factories (5-10%).

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the technical manager and your colleagues;
  • Design and design components and systems as a whole;
  • Design and improve the necessary solutions taking into account the available manufacturing constraints;
  • Produce detailed and assembly plans for the components and systems studied.
  • Dimensioning the components and systems to be studied using the available tools
  • Produce design, exploded, realistic images useful for the realization of technical documentation related to our solutions.

 

Additional missions:

  • Support the technical manager and/or the sales and after-sales teams in the field as well as in our agencies and factories to be in direct contact with the reality on the ground on one-off missions

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Boilermaking for
  • Design and size the parts and elements that make up mechanical assemblies and/or structural sub-assemblies according to the rules of the art;
  • Be able to question an idea or solution to aim for the optimization of the solution
  • Read and interpret industrial plans;
  • Manipulate tools;
  • Comply with applicable quality and regulatory standards;
  • Respect the safety rules;
  • Comply with the production standard;
  • Check the conformity of the assembly;
  • Knowledge of IT tools (Windows, Pack Office, SAP)
  • Good level in English (written, oral would be a plus)
  • Education required: The job requires BAC+2 level knowledge in Mechanical and Production Engineering
  • Experiments: first experience
  • Other: car license recommended
