Azure Cloud Engineer 


Location: remote Poland / remote Czech Republic or based in our Warsaw (Poland) or Brno (Czech Republic) offices 
 
Position Summary: The Cloud Engineer brings a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team. Supporting both US region and Europe, this experienced and passionate Azure cloud engineer will be responsible for modernizing and consolidating IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation.  The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications and the ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient.
 
Responsibilities:
•    Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity    
•    Work in tandem with our architecture and engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company    
•    Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance    
•    Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design    
•    Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines    
•    At the direction of lead architects, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy Azure applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics    
•    Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security    
•    Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions    
•    Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions    
•    Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments    
•    Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss    
•    Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized    
 
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field 
•    8+ years overall IT experience with at least 5 years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization    
•    Highly desired Microsoft Azure certifications:     
•    AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator    
•    AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions    
•    AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies    
•    Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems     
•    Experience with Azure DevOps, IaC development (e.g. Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible), and  scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell        
•    Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling    
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
