Job Summary

The Project Manager is a senior-level professional responsible for independently managing and delivering high-impact, cross-functional pump product development projects. This role provides mentorship and leadership to junior project managers and team members and plays a key role in shaping and optimizing project management practices at Thomas and Welch Pumps. The Project Manager collaborates closely with executive leadership to align project execution with business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and commercialisation of large-scale, complex pump product development projects, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
• Serve as the project management subject matter expert, driving best practices in project planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
• Develop and oversee project plans, budgets, schedules, resource allocations, and priorities for multiple concurrent projects.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing, supply chain, customers, and external partners.
• Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks, issues, and bottlenecks, escalating critical matters to senior leadership when appropriate.
• Lead project governance activities, including design reviews, gate reviews, executive reporting, key decision-making forums, and post-launch evaluations.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies, while representing the company in customer meetings, industry forums, and strategic initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Significant experience leading complex product development projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing project teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
