Job Objective:

Complete mechanical repair, overhaul and mechanical maintenance of compressed air equipment and associated products in a professional, accurate and timely manner including accurate completion of the associated paperwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify problems in air compressors and generators through troubleshooting techniques such as electrical/mechanical fault finding using diagnostic equipment. Perform repairs to rectify issues and ensure equipment functionality.

Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent potential breakdowns and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems in air compressors and generators. This includes inspecting components, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing of filter kit, changing oil, cleaning of oil and air coolers, and re-greasing of motors. parts as needed.

Provide technical assistance to customers regarding mechanical systems in air compressors and generators. Offer guidance on troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, and usage to optimise equipment performance and lifespan.

Maintain accurate records, of service activities, including diagnoses, repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used. Complete service reports, work permits, and other documentation in a timely manner to ensure transparency and accountability.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing service tasks, complete Job Hazard Analysis (JSA), wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Prioritise safety to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of oneself and others.

Isolation of machine – use personal locks and tags

Attend various company sponsored training programmes.

Maintain clean and safe working environment.

Contribute to growth and profitability of the company by providing excellent customer service values in line with company values.

Travel within Australia and Internationally as required by the company.

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, often in challenging environments such as construction sites, industrial facilities, or remote locations. The technician may encounter exposure to hazards such as electrical shock, loud noises, and moving machinery. Travel to customer sites for service calls and occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Previous experience in a Maintenance field service environment.

Commitment to workplace safety

Australian Manual Drivers Licence

Excellent customer service ability

Experience with Pneumatic Equipment

Skills in fault finding in Compressed Air Equipment
