Job Summary

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accountant maintains the entity’s general and subsidiary ledgers in compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations. The role is responsible for recording accounting transactions, preparing tax returns, completing monthly closings and supporting the annual financial statements in collaboration with the external accountant.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed assets by recording invoices in the ERP, checking depreciation periods and maintaining the fixed-asset register.

• Manage accounts payable, including invoice entry and control, approval workflows, dispute resolution, scheduled payments and account reconciliation.

• Manage accounts receivable, including sales-accounting controls, payment recording and account reconciliation.

• Prepare tax returns, verify that social declarations are recorded correctly and process the required tax and social payments.

• Record banking transactions, check bank statements and perform bank reconciliations.

• Support monthly and annual closings, including allocation controls, inventory and closing entries, account reviews and supporting documentation in BlackLine.

• Contribute to consolidation and intercompany account reconciliation within the AIRMAX Group, as well as cash-flow forecasting.

• Respond to auditor requests and contribute to anomaly analysis, action plans, work instructions and service-process documentation.

 

 

Basic Qualifications

• Accounting qualification and solid experience in general and subsidiary accounting.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting, VAT, tax returns and French taxation.

• Knowledge of customs declarations and ERP environments.

• Good command of digital tools, particularly Microsoft Office.

• Working knowledge of professional English.

 

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This position is based at the Alby-sur-Chéran site. Any travel will be occasional and linked to business needs.
