Job Summary

The Coded Welder will be responsible for fabricating and welding highquality components in line with ASME and EN/ISO standards. The role involves working with a range of materials, including stainless steel, lowtemperature carbon steel, and duplex, using processes such as TIG, MMA, MIG/MAG, and occasionally SubArc. The successful candidate will interpret engineering drawings, follow QA documentation, and deliver work to radiographic (Xray) standards for sectors including process, petrochemical, and offshore. Apprentice training and relevant industry experience are essential.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will be fabricating and welding various items, so experience in the industry is a must:
  • Previously carried out coding’s in accordance with ASME / EN/ISO.
  • To produce goods of the highest standards of quality and accuracy to the required dimensions, within the timescales specified.
  • Setup equipment and weld parts using TIG/MMA/MIG/MAG. Sub-arc beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience working with various grades of material i.e. Stainless steel, Low Temp. Carbon steel and Duplex is essential.
  • Following QA documents i.e. WPS’s, Weld Maps, Quality Plans.
  • Experience of fabricating and welding of pipe work and vessels for the process, Petro-chemical and offshore industries in accordance with International standards.
  • Experience of working to X-Ray standard.
  • To be able to read, understand, and follow all Safety, Quality, and Standard Operating Procedures including Engineering / Fabrication Drawings.
  • Other reasonable tasks, at the request of management, commensurate with pay.
