About Us
Ingersoll Rand designs, manufactures, markets, and services industrial solutions, particularly in the field of air and gas compression. As part of our Rental Services business, we are looking for a Rental Service Technician to prepare, install, and maintain equipment rented to our customers.
Your Mission
Reporting to the France Service Leader Director, you will work both in the workshop and at customer sites to ensure equipment availability, service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities
- Organize your interventions according to the schedule provided by your manager.
- Prepare equipment before dispatch and inspect it upon return from rental, identifying any anomalies or malfunctions.
- Clean, count, prepare, load, and unload equipment, accessories, and maintenance parts.
- Perform first-level maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and routine inspections.
- Carry out the necessary tests to confirm the proper operation of serviced equipment.
- Install and commission equipment at customer sites.
- Provide required documentation, including prevention plans, service reports, performance indicators, and information necessary for quotations.
- Support the identification of spare part references and monitor maintenance parts and accessory inventories.
- Inform and advise customers on equipment use and preventive maintenance while sharing basic product knowledge.
- Identify and promote additional services, spare parts, or equipment when relevant.
- Perform all duties in strict compliance with internal safety rules and customer site requirements.
Your Profile
- Technical training in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, automation, or pneumatic disciplines.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics, diagnose faults, and repair or replace defective components.
- Knowledge of lubricated screw compressors, oil-free compressors, and air treatment equipment is an advantage.
- Proficiency with standard IT tools, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM systems.
- Basic English skills.
- Valid Category B driving license required; frequent travel throughout France.
