Job & Division Summary:
The NPD Engineer is responsible for driving the development and launch of new products from concept to commercialization. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with design, engineering, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery aligned with market needs and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of tools, systems, and machinery in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of new and existing products to identify improvement opportunities
- Develop concepts to meet product specifications, build prototypes, and validate designs through testing.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing and prototyping.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and test reports.
- Support pilot builds, design verification, and validation activities.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful product launches.
Mandatory Skills
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in NPD of small/medium-sized hand tools, power tools, or machinery.
- Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or interpreting FEA results.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience collaborating with vendors for concept development and feasibility analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–7 years of experience in product development or engineering roles.
