Job & Division Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NPD Process Implementation Engineer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. This role is crucial in supporting our engineering teams across the globe with the transition to our new gate process, IRPX, without disrupting their ongoing engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering, project management capabilities, and a willingness to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Process Implementation: Assist different engineering teams across the world in implementing the IRPX gate process, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing engineering projects.
- Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to engineering teams on the IRPX process, ensuring they understand and can effectively utilize the new system.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful implementation of the IRPX process.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the IRPX process, including guidelines, best practices, and troubleshooting tips.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor the progress of the implementation, identify any issues or bottlenecks, and provide detailed reports to the Director of Strategy.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the IRPX process and contribute to the development of enhancements and optimizations.
- Travel: Travel to various sites in the US, Canada, and the UK as required to provide on-site support and training, ensuring consistent implementation of the IRPX process across all locations.
- Feedback Integration: Collect feedback from engineering teams and other stakeholders to continuously refine and improve the IRPX process.
Skills Requirement
- PMP certification, not a must but nice to have.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint (Slidewriting and Storylining) and Excel (Analysis and Business Case calculation)
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25% of the time).
- Experience with New Product Development (NPD) processes.
- Familiarity with gate processes in product development.
Basic Qualifications
- B. Tech/ M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering or project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
