Senior Data Engineer – Industrial IoT

Bangalore

Job & Division Summary: 

• This job opening is for a Senior Data Engineer joining the IR Digital Revenue team 
• The selected candidate will be responsible for expand the microservices for operating the data analytics tasks in our IR IoT platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop technologies in the area of IoT related data (pre)processing and algorithm handling for machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI)
• Inspire with creative solutions on challenges like scalability, efficiency and flexibility of the data processing infrastructure
• Bi-directional integration of data from other sources like data lake & data warehouse
• Combine expertise on software development and data science to drive the insights-based evolution of our digital and recurring revenue strategy
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientist and FE/BE developers working towards common goals in an agile manner
• Engage with the team on the subjects of architecture, testing and documentation
• Mentor fellow junior colleagues, interns and early talents to grow and thrive within the team

Mandatory/ Essential Skills

• A strong grasp of SQL/ BigQuery and Python for software development activities
• Experience in the design and development of microservices for IoT or other Big Data applications
• Knowledge of data backend and data science technologies as well as experience with processing timeseries data
• Exposure to data analytics and data science using machine learning and AI
• You enjoy working in a team and follow a solution-oriented and analytical approach with high self-motivation
• Very good communication & presentation skills

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related technical field with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
