Job & Division Summary
The above position is for a candidate responsible for regular finite element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS workbench and contribute knowledge to Support Ingersoll Rand Product development and product optimization projects at Engineering Technology Centre, India.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced FEA analyses for a wide range of applications and products in close collaboration with internal customer and share findings efficiently with effective solution.
- Responsible for modelling and analysis of components or systems to accelerate development and mitigate risk modify
- Preparation of Geometric models and simplification for analysis work either in CAD or CAE tools.
- Analyze the engineering problem by selecting the most efficient and accurate solution strategy and provide a necessary hand calculation to justify the process and findings.
- Carry out complex level FEA simulation includes Linear/Non-linear, Modal, Transient, Frequency response, multi body dynamics etc.
- Interpreting the simulation results and prepare detailed analysis report with simulation observations and potential solution to risk.
- Identify the potential improvement areas in FEA process and customize it using Scripting.
- Interpret the guidelines of international standards ISO, EN, API, ANSI etc. for simulation need
Mandatory Skills
- Strong Fundamentals of FEA, Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Dynamics of structure.
- Hands on experience in Ansys Workbench Mechanical (Min. Exp. 5+ Years),
- Hands on Experience in Ansys Modelling using space claim & Design Modeler (Min. Exp. 3+ Years).
- Hand-on experience with 3D CAD tools such as Inventor, CREO etc. (Min. 2+Years)
- Hands-on of Programming skills in Matlab /Python/MathCAD/similar tool (Min. Exp.1+Years)
Desired skills:
- Exposure of CAESAR II & PV Elite software is added advantage.
- Conversant with Microsoft tools – Word; Excel; PPT; MSP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical details coherently to the customers.
- ANSYS Fluent/CFX is added advantage.
Basic Qualifications
- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in finite element analysis (Especially for Industrial products, Rotating machines like pumps, compressors, blower systems)
Personal Skills
- Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop own priorities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel both domestic and international as and when require
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to deliver timely results despite unanticipated challenges
