For our Compressed Air Solution Business, we are looking for a Sales Leader of Airmax Groupe to be located at our premises in Bourges (18), France.
Job Summary
The Sales Manager for the Airmax business will be responsible for achieving profitable growth and sales targets (volume, net sales and gross margin) for the Compressors business, in line with Ingersoll Rand's vision, strategic objectives and policies in the assigned geographic region. Reporting hierarchically to the Sales Leader France and North West Africa, you will develop and implement a commercial strategy across the group's products for the region, targeting growth and margin expansion. You will be fully responsible for the sales of compressed air solutions, including equipment and services, in your geographic region.
You will also identify new sales opportunities, market new products and develop sales in new applications. Listening to the market and the main regional players, you will develop the market intelligence necessary to maintain and expand the customer portfolio.
As a central point of contact for the various internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure the interface, customers, suppliers and after-sales service, ensuring the deployment of the group's sales and prospecting strategies within the defined scope.
Travel to the assigned area estimated at 60% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a technically and commercially competent sales team to achieve budgeted sales and margin targets.
- Conduct customer visits with the sales team to identify and develop new opportunities and increase our market share in strategic segments.
- Develop a deep understanding and expertise of products, audits, services and different applications for targeted industrial markets.
- Utilize IRX (Ingersoll Rand Execution Excellence) to promote a high performance culture and ensure execution of key strategies within autonomous teams.
- Effectively drive the sales team activity, including reviewing the opportunity pipeline, producing accurate forecasts and tracking visits.
- Actively manage the installed base of compressors and downstream equipment installed in the region to maximize aftermarket business and ensure the highest customer satisfaction. Acquire a deep understanding of the market, including customer needs, competition and local legislation, and regularly provide accurate forecasts to management.
- Regularly provide accurate forecasts to management (CRM update, reporting, etc.)
- Monitor customer payments in certain specific cases, in conjunction with the financial department, and handle any potential disputes.
Basic Qualifications
- Technical skills and knowledge of industrial market products to provide advice and follow-up to customers on complex products;
- Knowledge of sales techniques in order to: Build and deploy the commercial strategy;
- Legal approach and financial management for analyzing performance by margins;
- Analyze business data and identify areas for improvement;
- Lead and manage a sales team;
- Design the sales department information circuit;
- Define a commercial policy;
- Develop the customer portfolio;
- Deploy problem-solving methods;
- Develop and monitor budgets;
- Conduct project management; Mastery of Office Pack and internal software;
- Mastery of English (read, written, spoken).
- Availability for travel > 60% Required education:
- The job requires knowledge of a bac +5 level in engineering, economics, marketing or other fields in P&L management;
- Experience: 5 years of experience in the industrial sector with management responsibilities;
