About Us

Gardner Denver Transport provides equipment which efficiently transfers bulk material from road tankers and other vehicles. As global requirements advanced, we started developing into wider applications and we now produce equipment for alternative markets including specialised transport, on-board power systems for operating/powering other equipment, and bespoke electric compressor packages for e-mobility vehicles.

 

Within our Bradford facility we design, machine, assembly and install our entire Bulk Powder and Liquid Compressor range for Road Transport Vehicles. Providing our customers with the whole product life cycle is number one for us and with our mobile service engineers we offer from concept design, manufacture, installation and aftermarket support.


Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the building of mechanical assemblies across all areas of the Gardner Denver Transport Solutions Cross Lane facility. These mechanical assemblies include hydraulic, pneumatic and gearbox type products as well as some larger package builds. From time to time the role may require you to strip down, replace or repair, failed units from in service machines to either help identify cause of failure or in some cases rebuild so they to be returned to the customer.

 

Responsibilities

  • Check kit for correct parts and refer to stores or supervision over any discrepancies.
  • Assemble and test products to specification, referring to working instructions and drawings.
  • Use air and battery powered tools, hand tools & press, paying particular attention to cleanliness of parts.
  • Report any error found in component parts and problems leading to difficulty in assembly.
  • Ensure required standards of safety are adhered to and good housekeeping is maintained in the work areas.
