Within our Bradford facility we design, machine, assembly and install our entire Bulk Powder and Liquid Compressor range for Road Transport Vehicles. Providing our customers with the whole product life cycle is number one for us and with our mobile service engineers we offer from concept design, manufacture, installation and aftermarket support.


Job Summary

To supervise the daily operations of the warehouse and logistics team, ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. The role involves leading the warehouse operatives, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures, and driving continuous improvement across the department. Support warehouse operatives during operational peaks and provide hands-on assistance when needed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Goods Inward & Receiving: Oversee the inspection and verification of incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Storage & Inventory Management: Ensure all inventory is accurately recorded in SAP, stored in correct locations, and labelled to company standards. Supervise and support cycle counting, audits, and full stocktake. Be able to solve and correct any issues that are escalated to you from the team reporting.
  • Picking, Packing & Dispatch: Ensure picking and packing processes are followed with high levels of accuracy and that all dispatches meet customer and internal requirements. Validate shipping documentation and ensure correct handling and recording of batch/serial numbers.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Monitor compliance with all site health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure operatives complete daily equipment checks and follow safe operating procedures.
  • Operational Excellence & Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and work with management to implement changes that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain high service levels. Ensure team are working within operational guidelines and meeting KPIs.
  • Supervisory / Administrative Duties: Assist in the preparation of reports on warehouse performance, stock levels, and team productivity. Attend meetings and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the business around stock control and results, operational stores functions and improvement plans.  Ensure the team you are responsible achieve KPI’s.

  

 Basic Qualifications

  • Stacker Truck licence
  • Supervisory / Management qualification

Absolute KEY skills needed for role

  • Have a good understanding of how an ERP system operates across all functions appertaining to stock control. Ensure timely and accurate recording of warehouse activities in SAP and other relevant systems
  • Be able to solve and correct any issues that are escalated to you from the team reporting.
  • Promote teamwork and a multi skilled workforce allowing flexibility to cover for absence
