Application Sales Engineer

 

As part of the Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies & Services Group, Industrial Technologies & Services Moers GmbH is recruiting an Application Sales Engineer to strengthen its Engineered Center of Excellence located in Breda, The Netherlands.

 

The Breda organization is a global center of expertise for engineered compressed air and gas treatment solutions, serving customers worldwide through the trusted Delair and Pneumatic Products brands. Our engineered systems are used in critical industrial processes where reliability, performance, and operational efficiency are essential.

The Application Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting engineered project opportunities across the EMEIA region. Acting as the technical-commercial interface between customers and the organization, the role combines application expertise, solution selling, and customer relationship management to support profitable business growth.

Working closely with Sales team, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams, the Application Sales Engineer develops tailored solutions that address customer requirements while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 

The position plays a key role in driving the growth of the Engineered Air Treatment Solutions business and expanding the global market presence of the Delair and Pneumatic Products brands.

 

Location: Breda, The Netherlands
Work Arrangement: On-site or Hybrid (Breda / Home Office)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop, and secure new engineered project opportunities within assigned markets and territories.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer engineers, EPC / contractors, consultants, engineering companies, and end user’s / project owners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that meet client specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings, technical reviews and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth execution and delivery of projects.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company

  • Strong understanding of technical products and solutions, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven with a focus on exceeding targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration combined with strong technical knowledge, alternatively Engineering with strong commercial experience, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the engineered project sales segment.
  • Experience working in the compressed air or gas treatment industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM software for sales tracking and management.
  • Relevant industry certifications or training
  • Driver's license B
