Position Overview:

The Region Indirect Sourcing Leader is responsible for managing and optimizing the sourcing of indirect goods and services, including categories such as but not limited to: fleet, IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, MRO, and travel. The role involves developing regional category strategies, leveraging economies of scale, and ensuring supplier performance across diverse geographies while aligning with global procurement goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies for indirect categories, in alignment with global sourcing policies and business objectives
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives across the EMEIA region to drive cost savings, efficiency, and value creation
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage a high-performing supplier base for indirect spend categories
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Sales etc.) to define requirements and optimize sourcing outcomes
  • Conduct market analysis, RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure procurement compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regional regulations
  • Support global sourcing projects with local market insights and regional execution
  • Report on savings, supplier KPIs, and category performance metrics
  • Analyze and drive indirect category cost savings opportunities (productivity) and improve Newt Working Capital (Cash Flow) utilizing data maintained in various sources
  • Develop an understanding of customer processes to enhance cross-functional initiatives and effectively communicate/integrate improvements
  • Research root cause of issues, recommend improvements in existing processes and implement corrective action plans / counter-measures where necessary
  • Daily management of indirect supplier partners
  • Develop and deploy indirect sourcing policies, business practices, and programs to support the short term and long-range business needs; revise as needed to ensure continuous improvement efforts
  • Align with Business Unit Leaders to drive overall cost savings (productivity)
  • Proactively search the supply chain network to identify cost, optimization and process improvement opportunities
  • Deliver excellent indirect category performance while achieving a best-cost service model

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 10 years of procurement, supply chain, operations or related experience
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking and risk management skills
  • Strong project management and process development skills, including leadership of projects or teams in a matrix environment
  • Experience with large, complex cross-functional projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organization, as well as strong relationship management skills
  • Proficient to an advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and Project
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to disseminate and exchange accurate and detailed information on-demand
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 20% per year

  • Project Management Excellence: Identifies needed resources, develops project plan, and drives project execution. Balances projects between short and long-term focus.  Secures alignment with cross-functional business partners.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrates regional and global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets and technology.
