Job Summary

This position is responsible for the achievement of the Company’s objectives through establishing and managing a quality assurance system.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages the operation of the quality department, internal KPI and quality database
  • Drives engineering principles and discipline including: PFMEA, Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP), Control Plans, 8D’s, Project Management
  • Partners with Supplier Quality and Development to improve supply chain quality
  • Leads and investigates corrective action of manufacturing and customer reported non-conformances
  • Partners with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering for reducing product deficiency, rejected purchased material, manufacturing rework and repairs, and product warranty costs
  • Analyzes and identifies basic causes for complaints and failures in the field and in the manufacturing process
  • Leads ISO and 3rd Party Compliance audits
  • Provides leadership and mentoring for quality functions within the site

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering or related field or 10+ years experience in Quality engineering in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in Italian language
  • Upper Intermediate English level (>B2), both written and spoken
  • Basic knowledge of parts and features which may be critical in application

Key  Competencies

  • Ability to establish supplier quality system and corrective action process resulting in operational improvements
  • Skilled and capable of selecting and using various measurement equipment
  • Extensive Leadership of quality organizations, time management and problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within Intercompany and with suppliers, etc.
