Job Summary

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Nordics, Mediterranean, and Distribution Commercial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to lead and mentor one team member, while also taking ownership of the full P&L and balance sheet management.

You will be instrumental in driving financial compliance, supporting strategic decision-making through insightful reporting, and ensuring timely and accurate month-end closings. This is a hands-on role that combines operational accounting with financial analysis, offering a broad scope of responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
  • Strong balance sheet controls including inventory review and control
  • Review and reconcile sales, orders, and backlog to ensure financial integrity.
  • Process credit cards, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments efficiently.
  • Conduct margin reviews to ensure profitability analysis.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Prepare weekly sales and order book reports for management review.
  • Compile year-end audit documentation to support external audit requirements.
  • Understand local SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative expenses) and contribute to annual budget preparation.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Financial Controlling background desirable,  with a strong foundation for compliance and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modelling.
  • Knowledge of SAP & SAGE 50 accounting software is desirable
  • Must have experience closing and managing the full P&L and balance sheet of company
