Material Handling Service Center Technician
Basic Function: Responsible for service repairs on a daily basis and deployment to customer site as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair and document findings in an effective and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Ensure that engineering testing specifications are followed at load test of the repaired products
- Periodically interact with customers in a professional manner via field visits and phone conversations.
- Travel requirements may be up to 50% and Perform field service work at customer sites worldwide including occasional weekends and holidays.
- Completes all required reports and assignments accurately and on time.
- Operates shop tools such as drills, press, forklift, pallet jacks, dollies, etc..
- Work on factory production line as needed to assemble and test new products.
- Effectively interact with internal personnel from other departments.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.

- Must be able to obtain a US Passport
- Language (English) skills: read and comprehend documents.
- Mathematical skills.
- Strong mechanical background and / or experience in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical assembly.
- Computer literate.
- Familiar with shop tools such as drills, press, grinders, etc.
- Be certified to work onshore and offshore.
- Team Oriented.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Creative thinker.
- Be able to multi-tasks. Willing to shift priorities as needed.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Participate in continuous learning opportunities as part of job and personal development.
- Strong customer focus via verbal and / or written communication skills.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
Safety Requirements: To perform this job, an individual must wear OSHA approved safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection (ANSI approved ear plugs/muffs) when exposed to noise levels above 80 D.B.A., gloves protection, and steel toe safety shoes.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to walk and stand, sit, stoop, or crouch. The individual is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach/pull with hands and arms; occasionally climb. Individual may have to lift and carry objects. Individual climbs in and out of forklifts and operates dollies and pallet jacks.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Individual must be able to distinguish colors. Individual must be able to speak and hear and detect smoke or electrical burn.
Shall pass an annual medical requirements to obtain a Fit To Work Certificate.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job and when at customer site.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual regularly works with moving mechanical parts and maybe exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is some risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Individual moves from one work environment to another by entering and exiting buildings and will be expose to outside weather conditions.
