Job Overview:

The Early Talent and University Relations Manager at Ingersoll Rand holds a crucial position in shaping the future workforce. This role involves leading a dynamic recruiting program for early career talent, collaborating with HR and business unit leaders to align hiring needs with university relations. The focus is on ensuring a seamless transition from internships to full-time employment, utilizing data to boost program effectiveness and propel organizational success.

This incoming leader will be instrumental in crafting and overseeing programs that nurture employee growth, cultivate leadership skills, and bolster career progression throughout the organization. From internships to rotational leadership initiatives, this role will involve designing and implementing structured experiences that expedite development and establish a robust talent pool.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Enterprise Strategy Framework: Create and manage the strategy framework for early talent recruiting, including setting goals and measuring success. This involves analyzing data and metrics to drive improvements and enhance program outcomes.
  • Lead Early Career Recruiting Initiatives: Design and implement recruiting strategies for early career talent, including university partnerships and outreach programs. This involves identifying and engaging with key universities to attract top talent, directly impacting the quality and diversity of the talent pool.
  • Build Relationships with Key Universities: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key university partners and student organizations to identify and attract diverse talent sources. This includes representing Ingersoll Rand at university events and career fairs, hosting on campus information sessions, and collaborating on campus initiatives effectively communicating the company’s value proposition and mission. This visibility strengthens the company’s reputation as an employer of choice and increases brand awareness among students.
  • Manage Internship Program: Oversee the continued development and execution of the summer internship program, ensuring a structured and impactful experience for interns. This includes coordinating onboarding, intern learning programs, performance evaluations and offer letter processes to facilitate the successful conversion of interns to full-time hires.
  • Collaborate with HR and Business Unit Leaders: Partner with local HR partners, and Business Unit Leaders to align intern hiring strategies with long term organizational needs. This collaboration ensures that recruitment efforts meet specific business requirements and contribute to the overall conversion of interns to full time hires.
  • Analyze Data and Metrics: Provide detailed analysis of recruiting data, campus ROI, and program impact to identify trends and areas for improvement. This includes generating reports to inform strategic decisions and optimize recruiting efforts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting and talent management, with a focus on early career talent and university relations
  • Proven track record of developing strategic frameworks, managing recruiting programs and engaging university partners
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree would be preferred.

  • Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) – SuccessFactors, etc.
  • Experience using a CRM (Yello) preferred, along with social media recruitment experience
  • Experience working within the Industrial/Manufacturing sector
  • Ability to work seamlessly across functions  

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements 

  • Fully site based in Davidson, North Carolina.
  • Up to 35% travel during Career Fair Season
