Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for receiving, picking, packing and processing of warehouse transactions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve warehouse operational objectives through the contribution of warehouse operations, information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Continuous development, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Comply with internal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, and reporting any issues identified.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other responsibilities include but are not limited to resolving problems, completing audits, and identifying trends

 

 Basic Qualifications

  • Must have good computer skills. 
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word.

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone
