Job Overview: The role is responsible for leading installation, erection, and commissioning activities for industrial equipment, including SPM fastening machines and lifting systems such as balancers, hoists, jib cranes, and manipulators. The candidate will ensure seamless on-site execution, troubleshooting, and handover while coordinating with customers and internal teams. A strong focus on technical execution, safety compliance, and customer support is essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and deliver projects efficiently from Day 1.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute installation, erection, and commissioning of SPM Machine (Fastening) and industrial lifting equipment such as Balancer, Jib cranes, hoists, and customized Manipulators machines.
  • Ensure proper alignment, assembly, and fitment of mechanical components at the site.
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams for smooth site execution.
  • Carry out pre-commissioning checks at IR and at customer site, trial runs, and final handover.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and basic electrical issues during installation and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety norms, allow systems, and site regulations.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GA drawings, and wiring diagrams for execution.
  • Prepare site reports, daily progress updates, commissioning reports, and punch point closures.
  • Support customer training and documentation during project handover.
  • Travel to project sites as per project requirements (short/long duration).

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in installation & commissioning

Core Competencies:

  • Strong hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of Industrial Lifting equipment or machine building projects.
  • Understanding mechanical systems, alignment techniques, and erection practices.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, drives, panels, and limit switches.
  • Ability to read engineering and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to read Pneumatic circuit and understanding of Pneumatic equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in heavy industrial environments.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills are important.
  • Willingness to travel and work at project sites.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

  • Travel 70-80% (As and When required)
