Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic direct purchasing activities. This role involves developing robust procurement strategies, negotiating supplier agreements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring continuity of supply while achieving cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience in the pharmaceutical, biological, or medical sectors and a strong background in strategic procurement and risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive contract negotiations with suppliers to reduce supply base and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that deliver cost reductions and mitigate risks.
  • Analyze current supply base and define future requirements in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Product Engineering.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Track and report category spend, monitor compliance with approved supplier lists, and maintain KPIs for supplier performance.
  • Research, recommend, and qualify new suppliers offering superior products and services at competitive pricing.
  • Support operational teams during supply chain disruptions caused by shortages or substandard products.
  • Oversee and improve RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business units and operations on projects such as new product launches and inventory initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Education – Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Engineering (minimum requirement).
  2. Industry Experience – Must have worked in the pharmaceutical, biological, or medical business (experience in these sectors is highly preferred).
  3. Strategic Procurement Expertise – Skilled in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and procurement strategy (not just tactical order processing).
  4. Risk Management – Strong understanding of risk mitigation and building long-term supplier partnerships.
  5. Operations Experience – Experience in the manufacturing sector is also highly valuable.
  6. Knowledge of Polish and English (international work environment).
