Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Automation Engineer specializing in PLC systems to design, implement, and optimize control solutions for Blutek package for oil and gas applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across upstream, midstream, and downstream processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Create PLC-based control systems for instrument air compressors, dryers and N2 package.
  • Programming: Develop, test, and debug PLC code (ladder logic, structured text) using platforms like Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, or Schneider EcoStruxure.
  • Integration: Interface PLCs with SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems; utilize protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Commissioning: Lead on-site, testing, and troubleshooting in field environments.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISA, IEC, API) and safety regulations (OSHA, HAZOP).
  • Documentation: Maintain technical specs, manuals, and validation records.
  • Support: Provide 24/7 troubleshooting and train operational teams.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies (IIoT, cybersecurity).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Experience: 3+ years in PLC programming within oil/gas, including field commissioning.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC/HMI software, industrial networks, and control system architecture.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ISA-84, IEC 61131-3, API standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Travel: Willingness to visit remote sites (up to 30%).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DCS communication.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge (IEC 62443).
