Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in the design and integration of rotary compressor systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design, component selection, and layout of equipment within skid-mounted units, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with rotating equipment, and the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-performance, safe, and reliable systems 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and integration of rotary compressors and auxiliary systems within skid packages
  • Select and specify mechanical components (e.g., valves, piping, couplings, dampers, supports, instrumentation) based on process requirements and environmental conditions
  • Works together with 3D Model Engineer to create k-docs for contract (P&IDs, GA drawings, and 3D models)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (API, ASME, ISO) and client specifications
  • Coordinate with process, electrical, and structural engineers to ensure seamless skid layout and functionality
  • Support procurement activities by preparing technical datasheets and evaluating vendor proposals
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and FAT/SAT inspections with customers
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects involving rotary compressors and skid-mounted equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical component selection, rotating machinery, and system integration
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and familiarity with 3D modeling workflows
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics, vibration analysis, and thermal considerations in compressor systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus
