Job Summary

The General Accounting & Taxation Manager oversees all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records and compliance with tax regulations. They manage monthly and annual closings, coordinate audits, and supervise bookkeeping activities. The role includes preparing tax filings, optimizing tax strategies, and ensuring adherence to local and international standards. They collaborate with Finance and Senior Leadership to support financial planning and risk management. This position ensures the integrity and reliability of the company’s Financial reporting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Financial Statements: Manage preparation of Italian financial statements in compliance with current regulations.
  • Payroll & Treasury: Oversee payroll activities, bank communications, payment processing, cash flow management, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Administrative Coordination: Supervise administrative tasks and collaborate with dedicated resources.
  • Tax Management: Coordinate direct and indirect taxes, tax returns, and ensure compliance with group regulations in partnership with the shared service team.
  • Banking Relations: Maintain relationships with credit institutions for financial and administrative operations.
  • Compliance & Audit: Support corporate compliance and regulatory requirements; liaise with external auditors and internal audit teams to ensure transparency and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports for consolidated financial statements and optimize tax reporting processes using company systems.
  • Management of a team of accountants

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Proven experience in accounting and reporting within a global or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian accounting & tax regulations and US GAAP.
  • Familiarity with tax management software, Piteco, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills for managing financial stakeholder relationships.

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site-based at Isola Vicentina (VI).

 Occasional availability to travel if necessary is required.
