Job Summary

As a Software Engineering professional, you are responsible for overseeing project development, as well as supporting and coordinating the engineering team to ensure the proper preparation and execution of all activities according to the established schedule. You demonstrate strong capability in planning, coordinating, and supervising ongoing projects within the industrial automation field, working directly as a PLC programmer (Rockwell/Siemens/Delta) and with HMI operator interface software such as Weintek, Exor, Rockwell, Siemens and Delta.

Additionally, you perform system commissioning for company projects, both remotely and onsite, ensuring full operational functionality and alignment with technical specifications.

 

Responsibilities & Basic Qualifications

  • Development of the project and coordination of ongoing activities, ensuring control over the preparation and execution of services in accordance with the predetermined schedule, with organization and attention to detail.
  • Analysis of the technical requirements of the project, mainly at the process logic level.
  • Responsibility for the execution of the projects assigned for development.
  • Keeping the relevant departments (technical/service/testing) updated, tracking and recording all data necessary for project implementation.
  • Developing and verifying, together with the Process Engineer, all technical details related to the process.
  • Executing automation projects in collaboration with the technical department, organizing the development and execution of all details, from design to implementation at the client’s site, always following the currently adopted standards.
  • Controlling the quality of the products, documents, and software developed, constantly applying self‑criticism to what has been produced and is under development, both at the process level and in logical optimization.
  • Taking responsibility for meeting the project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks, mainly: Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, Profibus.
  • Basic knowledge of programming and parameterization of frequency inverters, especially brands such as ABB, Siemens, WEG and Delta.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and instrumentation.
  • For each project under responsibility, ensuring that the corresponding project is followed and tested in the testing area, guaranteeing its perfect logical operation.
  • Drafting and reviewing the following technical documents:
  • General specifications and, above all, the process control philosophy within the control logic scope;
  • Industrial network design;
  • Electrical panel design for PLC/HMI systems_
  • Communication lists for network interface with client systems.
  • Ability to read and understand the following technical documents:
  • Functional specifications, interconnection diagrams, and electrical schematics;
  • P&ID flow diagrams;
  • Data sheets and instrumentation lists.
  • Commissioning, startup, assisted operation, and training.

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site-based at Isola Vicentina (VI).

Occasional availability to travel if necessary is required.
