Job Summary

The Global JD Edwards COE role encompasses both strategic and execution responsibilities. Candidates will collaborate with business and IT teams to support business strategies, including mergers and acquisitions. You will lead teams through the entire lifecycle of architecture, delivery, and operations on a platform that includes JD Edwards and third-party systems.

Specifically, the Global JD Edwards COE Director leads the execution of JDE implementations across global business units and maintains the existing ERP platforms. This role involves developing and managing scalable COE and Support teams while establishing best practices in data management, change management, quality assurance, training, user security management, release management, and support processes. The position requires creating a flexible, multi-year, global deployment plan that adapts to changing business priorities and integrates acquisitions into the plan. Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining and supporting legacy JDE systems still in use within parts of the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for JDE and the associated application ecosystem. Build for the future, balancing trade-offs between short-term business needs and long-term strategy.
  • Champion change, maintain deep business stakeholder engagement, and enable business strategy with technology solutions.
  • Modernize JDE delivery and implement best practices for change management, quality assurance, and training, with JDE program / project performance scorecards.
  • Plan and deliver successful JDE Programs & projects. Make functional and process decisions. Document operational tasks and report to upper-level management.
  • Drive application integration strategy & execution with M&A.
  • Build high-performance teams aligned with strategic goals and manage their performance.
  • Oversee operations and troubleshooting of Ingersoll Rand applications.
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies to support business strategies.
  • Manage vendors for optimal delivery and control costs.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum ten years of JDE implementation experience, including JDE 9.2.
  • Proven track record in manufacturing industry plus experience working in a global organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage diverse and global teams, including managing teams across time zones.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT governance, operations, and security practices.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in supporting opportunity and business case development, business process re-engineering, organizational change management, transition planning, system development lifecycles, program/project management and fielding of business applications in a large-scale enterprise with complex organizational and IT structures.
  • Business process knowledge in manufacturing industry – Order to cash, procure to pay, plan to produce, forecast to stock, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong and highly effective interpersonal skills and able to build and maintaining long-term relationships, coalitions, and networks.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external vendors for mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT governance, operations, security practices, and audit compliance. 

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

At least 25% travel.
