LMI Team Lead - Parts

1st Shift

 

This candidate will be responsible for leading the LMI area by directing the daily production activities of the assemblers and material handlers.  The ideal candidate will be skilled in mechanical assembly and have a practical knowledge in pump operation.  This position will require a leader with the ability to train and hold employees accountable to quality standards.  The ideal candidate will assist with the execution of daily operations by overseeing staff. This individual will aid in facilitating positive communications with other functional areas of the business.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Train assemblers in process and quality expectations
  • Ensure production pace is maintained to meet customer demand
  • Make recommendations to supervisor on employee performance
  • Cross train employees and document all training
  • Maintain employee data i.e. attendance, efficiency, turnbacks etc.
  • Participate in production and quality discussions
  • Track and communicate parts shortages
  • Distribute material from the stockroom to the floor when necessary
  • Update work instructions and maintain training documents
  • Promote a safety-first culture throughout the organization
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or some college, a plus
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Two year or equivalent of ERP system experience, JDE/Oracle, preferred
  • Ability to read Bills of Materials, a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to perform varied and complex tasks
  • Ability to use quality control tools
