Shipping Associate
Mid Shift 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
This candidate will be responsible for the completion of various tasks required by the Shipping and Receiving department. This candidate will help with successful on time shipments of metering pumps to our global clientele. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, utilizing an ERP system, pulling or packing materials, and/or working in a shipping or receiving role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package materials for shipment based upon guidelines
- Generate and apply labels in accordance with the designated procedures
- Keep records of goods that have been shipped using the ERP system, JDE
- Maintain departmental records such as UPS shipments, package inventories, and packing slips
- Stack and arrange products into crates, boxes, and cartons
- Pull spare parts and prepare for shipping
- Pull, assemble, and transact kitting work orders
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 0-2 Years’ experience in a shipping or receiving role
- Ability to operate forklift, preferred
- Experience with various hand tools such as: radial arm and circular saws, screw, and nails guns, required
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Ability to problem solve
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual – able to meet deadlines
- Must possess the willingness to interact with multiple departments at multiple levels
- Must be able to lift to 35 pounds
