Service Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Carry out on-site survey and vacuum audit.
  • Focus on customer support service / troubleshooting on vacuum and compression system.
  • Responsible for implementing client requirements, including technical queries and spare part inquiry
  • Coordinate the activities among functional departments on standardization of procedures and process to ensure servicing run smoothly.
  • Provide general servicing and overhaul of liquid ring pumps / compressors or package related equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with engineers or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem/root causes and determine proper solutions.
  • Provide technical support and on-site commissioning to existing and new clients effectively as and when required.
  • Carry out on-site inspections and tests on vacuum pumps and compressors and package related equipment.
  • Ability to understand and read cross sectional, PIDs and simple electrical diagrams.
  • Support sales in technical meeting and activities.
  • Promote sales and prepare quotations of spare parts to customers.
  • Handle pre and post administrative work.
  • Schedule and prepare permits for the service jobs.
  • Handle warranty and quality claims between customer and factories.
  • Accept ownership and responsibility.

 

PRE-REQUISITES

 

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in service, installation and site commissioning related.
  • Experience in Pulp and Paper industry will be advantageous.
  • Good analytical & troubleshooting skills coupled with minimum sales/marketing skills.
  • Good team player & willing to deal with customer.
  • Dynamic and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player as well as the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, able to relate findings and solutions effectively to customers and the team.
  • Valid driving license.
