Runtech Systems is part of Ingersoll Rand and it is a global provider of engineered systems tailored to the pulp and paper industries. Runtech works with customers to better understand and control their operational conditions to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness. Runtech's patented solutions include energy efficient vacuum system and heat recovery optimization, runnability optimization, dewatering, doctoring and cleanliness optimization as well as ropeless tail threading.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanic for a versatile and hands-on role. The position includes maintenance and repair work of turbo blowers at customer sites around the world, as well as assembly work at our production facilities in Kotka.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of blowers at customer sites worldwide
- Assembly and outfitting of blowers at our Kotka production facilities
- Supervision of installations at customer sites
- Preparation of service and installation reports
- Compliance with safety and quality standards in all tasks
Basic qualifications
- Relevant technical education or work experience (mechanical and/or electrical installation)
- Sufficient capabilities in Finnish and English, both spoken and written
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly abroad (essential part of the role)
- Electrical or automation expertise
- Experience with blowers or similar equipment
Travel and Work Arrangements and Requirements
This role requires commitment to regular international travel, and the work takes place in varying locations and schedules.
Key Competencies
- Experience in installation, service, maintenance, or commissioning work, particularly at customer sites, is considered an asset
- Ability to work according to standardized assembly procedures
- Ability to read technical drawings and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive working approach
- Flexibility to work in varying schedules and conditions
- Networking, working across different cultures
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Pulp and paper industry knowledge is an advantage
