Lead operations for Flexan’s Lincolnshire manufacturing facility. This individual will play a critical role in achieving the site's goals and objectives, developing and implementing standardized operating philosophies, processes, procedures, and practices across production operations to improve manufacturing safety, quality, cost, and customer service. This individual will ensure that approved products are manufactured and supplied on schedule meeting quality standards.

- Drive the development and execution of short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with corporate goals, while establishing and tracking KPIs to measure safety, quality, delivery, cost, and People (SQDCP)
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment as per OSHA 2201-08R by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources to protect all employees from injuries.
- Lead the analysis of production and related processes and make recommendations on improvements and organization of process improvement activity through the application of Six-Sigma & Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Leading a culture of Continuous Improvement, Ownership and Accountability every day in everything we do.
- Review and lead analyses of activities, costs, operations, forecast data and conditions to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives while ensuring effective customer relations are cultivated and maintained.
- By Lean Six Sigma / DMAIC, Identify and/or modify existing processes or systems which restrict capacities or result in the inability to reach weekly sales and overall corporate goals always following the quality standards and customer approval processes.
- Implement a cohesive, high-performance culture leveraging operational lean six sigma tools and systems, visual management and IDMs as appropriate.
- Assist in the development of site Annual Operating Plans and Multi-Year Make Life Better (MLB) Plans for the site.
- Lead and deploy objectives specifically to support Cost Improvement and competitive manufacturing operating costs and driving its organization to eliminate any cost of quality.
- Capacity planning and understanding of the customer programs (new and existing) and status to ensure compliance with short- and long-term launch projects a.k.a. NPIs.
- Identify, develop and reward the talent and expertise of manufacturing staff team, by supporting sound processes for staff selection and development, pay administration, coaching and mentoring.
- Forecast capital CAPEX for facility and equipment improvements, replacement and/or modification.
- Making capital spending (Capex) proposals and recommendations, including technology capability improvement considerations, specifically around automated manufacturing and higher-volume LIM production
- Work closely with the Sales and Business Development team to grow the operation while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Promote an atmosphere of inclusion, open communication and trust, to foster team development and associate engagement.
- Monitor the alignment of products demands with production schedule (MPS) and material planning to meet production goals.
- Provide leadership to associates in all areas including hiring, performance management, coaching, counseling and corrective actions.
- Partner with all factories within Flexan to improve the profitability of the corporation and look for ways to improve Gross Margin.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and makes recommendations for the improvement of policies and procedures.

- Bachelor’s Degree required, in a technical field preferred
- 10+ years of management/manufacturing experience with direct P&L oversight and strong financial acumen
- Proven management capabilities: prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with LEAN manufacturing practices desired); able to be firm and hold people accountable; excellent clear communication skills; able to motivate supervisors and peers
- Strategic thinking: ability to establish priorities, processes, and standards. A decisive individual who possesses a “big picture” perspective
- Problem Solving: proactive in identifying potential problems or opportunities to increase productivity and quality, decrease waste and improve morale
- Works well under pressure and operates effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and can bring together different personalities around common goals; excellent at listening, identifying root causes of concerns and mediating differences
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks; must be highly self-motivated and able to operate autonomously or on a team in a dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is $110k – $165k, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
