Job Summary
This Quality Engineering Technician position will interface with internal manufacturing, engineering, purchasing & vendors.
Maintain quality system requirements for ISO 9001, ATEX, and PED.
Be actively involved with continuous improvement activities across the business.
Responsibilities
- Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials and products.
- Ensure that the quality assurance measures within the company procedures are adhered to at any stage of manufacture.
- Support measurement / validation of samples.
- Conduct goods inward sampling Inspections of vendor products to drawing / specifications.
- Reviewing / processing vendor non-conforming product, raising rejections / debits & SCAR reports.
- Maintenance of the calibration system (Internal / External calibration).
- Generating company certificates Material certificates / Test certificates, Certificates of conformity.
- Supporting dispatch dock audits.
- Analysis of SNN Aftermarket / Warranty Returns and technical raise reports.
- Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
Basic Qualifications
- Apprentice, trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment– Desirable.
- Experience with ISO management systems and SAP– Desirable.
- Experience of working in a quality role in a manufacturing environment Desirable.
- Able to work and contribute within a team – Essential.
- Auditing experience – Desirable.
- Hands on approach – Essential.
- Ability to understand/read engineering drawings – Essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – Essential.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word etc.– Essential.
- Proficient in the use of small measurement equipment – Desirable.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Fully site based at our Margate Kent Facility.
