Position Summary:

 

Unique opportunity for a self-starter in a satellite/new and growing part of the Ingersoll Rand business, in Miami Lakes, FL. The CNC programmer provides expertise in writing CNC programs, reading blueprints/designs, creating designs, and has knowledge of CMM.

 

Job Duties:          
Programming

  • Analyzes technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and other engineering data
  • Participates in the determining the machining process sequence
  • Participates in defining work piece holding solutions
  • Responsible for selection of tooling required to produce quality parts while maintaining cost and efficiency targets.
  • Transform process plans into CNC code using CAM software
  • Analyze programs using simulation or verification software
  • Participates in validation of programs prior to production release.  Ensures that program produces work that meets drawing requirements.
  • Establish and publish setup operations for each program
  • Participate on KAIZEN cost reduction teams
  • Manage tool library, CAM library, and production release locations.
  • Represents department by developing good working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Assists in selection and justification of new machine tools and equipment
  • Provides programming support in production to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems
  • Measure and evaluate parts to Quality standards
  • Review and process engineering changes


Education: 

  • High School diploma or GED required (or international equivalent).
  • Prefer Associates or Vocational/Technical training with 4-8 years related experience.


Experience:          

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, able to operate machining equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with FANUC and Okuma controls
  • 2+ years of experience in CNC programming
  • AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks – Need practical experience on the job
  • Conversion of 3D Models to CNC Programming Code utilizing CAM Software ( 2+ years of CAM experience  )
  • CNC Tool Selection
  • GD & T – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  •  ESPRIT software a plus
  • Familiarity with standard precision measuring techniques

Preferred experience with Mazak - Mazatrol programming language.
