Position Summary

The Air Treatment Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth of air treatment solutions—including filters, dryers, purification equipment, and related services—within the Japanese market. This role focuses on expanding customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technically sound product recommendations to meet customer needs.


 

Key Responsibilities

A. Sales Execution & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for air treatment products and services.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, solution presentation, quotation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop new business opportunities in targeted industries (manufacturing, electronics, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, HVAC, automotive, etc.).
  • Build and maintain an active opportunity pipeline through consistent customer outreach and visits.

B. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat sales and high satisfaction.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend appropriate air treatment solutions.
  • Follow up on proposals, testing requirements, product performance feedback, and technical inquiries.

C. Market & Channel Development

  • Support and manage  customers, resellers, and channel partners as needed.
  • Provide product training and sales support to channel partners.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to inform sales strategy.

D. Technical & Product Support

  • Understand air treatment technologies sufficiently to explain product benefits and performance.
  • Collaborate with service, engineering, and testing teams to clarify customer requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in product demonstrations, site surveys, and technical discussions with customers.

E. Reporting & Internal Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions, forecasts, and opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly and/or monthly sales reports, including pipeline status and key customer updates.
  • Work closely with marketing, service, and operations teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer support.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of sales experience in industrial equipment, HVAC, filtration, compressed air, or similar fields.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Native-level Japanese; business-level English for internal communication.
  • Ability to understand technical product information and explain it to customers.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
