Position Summary

As a true technical support, the intervention technician carries out expertise, repairs, maintenance, installations and commissioning in the workshop and/or at customers' sites, in France (Centre-East region, main departments: 21, 25, 39, 71, 01, 74, 69, 42) and more rarely abroad, on the range of Industrial Products of the Compressor Division in compliance with legal and internal safety rules.

It provides a prevention, information and recommendation service to customers.

He or she is on call outside office hours (depending on the commitment of contracts) – department 21.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance or repair expertise actions in the workshop or at customers' sites, according to the instructions received in accordance with Ingersoll Rand safety rules and those applied on customer sites (Prevention Plan);
  • Receive telephone requests for technical information from our customers for a pre-diagnosis with a view to an intervention if necessary;
  • Establish your provisional schedule every weekend via Outlook;
  • Send the administrative documents requested (Prevention Plan, intervention report, KPIs, etc.);
  • To provide information for the establishment of quotes for parts and/or services;
  • Participate in the search for identification of part numbers;
  • Provide technical support and equipment expertise to customers (control of the range) and be recognized as a referent for the Lubricated Screws product range;
  • Carry out tests and trials on overhauled equipment to ensure restoration
  • Participate in the installation of new or refurbished equipment and devices at customers' sites;
  • Manage the priorities of repair, repair and expertise actions within the framework of on-call duty;
  • Provide prevention, information and recommendations to customers;
  • To provide technical training of our products to customers;
  • Carry out his/her tasks in compliance with legal and internal security rules;
  • Assist in developing the sale of service products in collaboration with the Regional Key Account and/or Inside Sales;
  • Manage subcontracting in the context of the installation of new machines and/or modifications to installations;
  • Ensures the follow-up of sites and interventions with the internal team, subcontractors and customers
  • Insure with customers with specific contracts with on-call duty 7 days a day in their geographical area with reference to the small white paper on on-call duty;
  • Propose and/or promote sales of services, parts and materials to customers.
  • On certain interventions: carrying out risk analyses, drafting operating procedures, contract monitoring file, search for subcontractors, specifications, site monitoring and on-site project management, etc.

Relations with external organizations: Distributors, direct customers, suppliers, subcontractors

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 / 5 years of experience as a traveling technician. An experiment in compressed air would be a +.
  • The job requires knowledge at the level of BTS industrial maintenance, DUT industrial engineering and maintenance

Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of compressors and/or air treatment
  • Mastery of the company's IT tools (Office Pack, Outlook, SAP, etc.)
  • Reading of plans and/or technical diagrams
  • Detecting the origin of a failure
  • Diagnosing a malfunction of industrial equipment
  • Technical assistance to customers
