Job Summary

The product engineer is the technical reference for both sales and project teams for the Liquid Ring Compressors. Maintains knowledge about current products and supports further improvements.

 

Responsibilities

Compressor packages and bare shaft projects:

 

  • Coordinating all the production processes, from designing to assembling to the actual production process.
  • Creating project builder and material masters in SAP
  • Review the compressor performance
  • Arrange the material requisition and request for purchasing for the compressor manufacturing
  • Alignment with the manufacturing facility and support the manufacturing, procurement and quality department based on specific customer requirements through kick off meetings and visits
  • Join the internal P&ID and 3D model package review
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings when required
  • Participate in weekly projects review meeting
  • Support the instrument engineers to define compressor interlock and operation logic
  • Support engineering team in the seal system procurement
  • Involvement in technical meeting with client on compressor topics
     

Aftermarket & Customer service:

 

  • Support the aftermarket team with the requirements of spare parts where needed
  • Support the new component material masters
  • Technical evaluation and feasibility for compressor modifications/ upgrades
  • Supporting creation of technical quotations  and meetings with customers, if required

Technical services:

 

  • Involvement in the review of the customer claim or request of assistance and connect with customer if required.
  • Remote support to IR field engineers during their mission.

Involvement in report and root cause analysis

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experiences with rotating equipment and complex Engineering To Order type of business.
  • Excellent communication skills needed. 
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization as well as vendors, suppliers and customers is critical to success in this position.
  • A demonstrable track record of success and skills, with at least 5 years’ experience in a technical environment
  • Ability to create problem resolution plans and drive to conclusion.
  • Available to travel to the manufacturing facility or to customers when required.
  • General knowledge of vacuum pumps, compressors and rotating equipment principles.
  • Fluently in Italian and English language, German language would be preferential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and SAP R3.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering
