Job Summery:

The IT Field Service Technician Level 2 is responsible for providing advanced technical support for the IT infrastructure and end-user computing environment at Ingersoll Rand locations across Italy, ensuring service continuity at the Parma site and through on-site support at other Italian locations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd-level on-site and remote IT support for end users
  • Log and manage incidents and requests via the ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Support global infrastructure teams (Server, Network, Security) with local hands-on activities
  • Manage end-user devices and asset lifecycle (deployment, refresh, decommissioning)
  • Participate in local, regional, and global IT projects (e.g., M&A, upgrades, deployments)
  • Ensure compliance with global IT standards, processes, and security requirements
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in IT service delivery

 

 

Key Competencies:

  • 3–6 years of experience in a similar IT support or field service role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, applications, and basic networking
  • Solid knowledge of:
    • Windows 10/11
    • Microsoft 365 / Teams
    • Active Directory
    • Basic networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP)
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and within a global team
  • Good English communication skills (written and verbal)

 

Preferences:

  • Exposure to Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, or endpoint management tools
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure components (switches, wireless networks, basic configuration, cabling)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with global IT service delivery models
  • Experience participating in IT projects such as M&A integrations, infrastructure upgrades, or security initiatives

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements 

  • The technician will be based in the Parma office
  • Required to provide support to other Ingersoll Rand sites across Italy
  • Regular travel between Italian sites is expected to ensure on-site support and service continuity
  • Occasional travel within EMEA may be required

 

Base Salary Range

  • 26.400 – 46.690 €
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement: CCNL Metalmeccanici
