Job Description – Business Development Manager

Location- Delhi/Pune

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and strategic direction of the assigned business line. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage key customer relationships, and ensure alignment between Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Define and execute business line strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Act as the bridge between Sales, ETO, and Product Management teams to accelerate speed-to-market and maximize business opportunities.
  • Drive consultative, value-based selling across the product portfolio.
  • Identify product gaps and collaborate with Product Management on new product development initiatives.
  • Partner with regional and local teams to develop growth roadmaps and market engagement strategies.
  • Build new competencies and capabilities to strengthen the business portfolio.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Leverage competitive positioning and product differentiation tools to enhance customer value.
  • Monitor customer feedback, project trends, and market developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct market and sector analysis to align product offerings with customer requirements.
  • Support sales teams with effective market insights, value propositions, and sales tools.

Business Growth & Market Intelligence

  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop market-entry and business expansion strategies for targeted segments and geographies.
  • Track business performance, market share, and pipeline growth against established targets.
  • Support strategic account planning and opportunity management to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Product Management, or Strategic Marketing.
  • Proven track record in driving business growth, market development, and customer engagement.
