Job Summary:

Accountable for end-to-end Project Quality of ETO packages, including NASH Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, compressors, and blower systems, covering both pre-order and post-order phases. Drives adherence to customer specifications, contractual requirements, and international quality standards across all project stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of stage-wise Inspection & Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) for project packages.
  • Development of package-wise inspection plans aligned with project specifications & quality requirements.
  • Participation in pre-order technical QA discussions and resolution of clarifications related to Quality with customers and application engineering teams.
  • Providing item-wise QA requirements to the Project Engineering team for accurate preparation of RFQs.
  • Supporting Project Engineers in understanding and interpreting applicable project specifications related to QA requirements.
  • Review of vendor technical offers (pre order) and evaluation of compliance with project QA requirements.
  • Review and approval of post-order documents including ITPs, procedures, and quality-related submissions from vendors.
  • Reviewing and approving supplier ITPs and QA documents in line with contract and project standards.
  • Conducting technical discussions and coordinating with vendors to resolve comments and ensure compliance with QA requirements.
  • Coordinating inspections between customers & vendors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Tracking and ensuring timely closure of punch points/non-conformities identified during inspections.
  • Responsible for obtaining Inspection Release Note/Dispatch Clearance after successful inspection completion and closure of all observations.

 

Key Competencies

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance (QA) for ETO (Engineer-to-Order) package projects in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Power sectors.
  • Proven track record of working with major EPCs, LSTK contractors, and PMC clients, including BPCL, IOCL, HPCL, Reliance, HMEL, Essar, BASF, DOW, EIL, Technip, TICB, TKIS, L&T Hydrocarbon, Fluor, etc.
  • Strong ability to interface across multiple functions including Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Logistics, while maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with customers and vendors.
  • Solid experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in project QA environments.
  • Certified in Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT Level II) in methods such as PT, RT, and VT.
  • Hands-on experience in handling inspections for EPC projects, power plants, and Oil & Gas clients.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication involving materials such as Carbon Steel (CS), Stainless Steel (SS), Duplex Stainless Steel, and Super Duplex Stainless Steel.
  • Practical experience with welding processes including GTAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
  • Familiarity with specialized inspection requirements such as IGC, NACE, HIC, and related standards.
  • Additional certifications such as CWI, IWE, and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Auditor certifications are considered an advantage.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • More than 8 years of relevant experience in Project Quality Assurance for rotating equipments, skid mounted systems and packaging.
  • Project Quality, specifically in managing Engineer-to-Order (ETO) packages for the Oil & Gas, Chemical,

and Power sectors.

  • Prior exposure to EPC, LSTK, and PMC project environments is highly preferred.
