Job Summary

To provide effective coordination and administrative support for all environmental, health and safety requirements, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Including: organizing statutory training, purchasing, stock control, data input, report writing, COSHH controls, occupational health, business continuity, visitor controls and several improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, organise and support all training requirements including job specific MHE, inductions and compliance.
  • Assist with day-to-day requirements, coordinating site visitors, hazard reports and manufacturing requirements.
  • Responsible for sourcing and purchasing of various parts and supplies for EHS and site services functions.
  • Maintain all EHS and site services KPIs and data reporting requirements.
  • Lead applicable business management software packages.
  • Lead assigned Improvement projects - create plans, justifications, obtain quotes and implement.
  • Work on a number of different projects simultaneously, managing risk and prioritising tasks.
  • Assist with accidents, incident and near miss containments, investigations and report writing.
  • Create communications, processes and safety alert documentation.
  • Oversee PPE requirements, safety shoes, overalls, corporate workwear and task specific PPE.
  • Assist with contractor control, validation, set up and specific requirements.
  • Be available for all site queries and requests.
  • Monitor and organise service work and compliance inspections.
  • Monitor and organise site waste management.
  • Carry out audits and site inspection.
  • Lead site environmental improvement projects.
  • Assist with site occupational health surveillance.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Part or full NEBOSH or working towards.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based.

Key Competencies

  • Experience in EHS or manufacturing coordination and administration.
  • Experience working within a similar EHS role.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments and processes
  • Experience of leading on projects
