The eMobility product line supports Automotive OEMs on their path to zero emission vehicle fleets by providing a range of on-board compressed air solutions to supply drive critical air to the vehicle.

Job Summary

Working as part of the Ingersoll Rand Transport Solutions business, a Key Account Manager is required to support the growth and development of our eMobility customers. Working closely with several blue-chip global OEM’s, the KAM will offer technical and commercial support to the vehicle manufacturers leading the transition to the electric and hydrogen powered vehicle fleets of the future. The KAM will form a key link between the Ingersoll Rand teams and the customers ensuring continued cooperation and manage the day-to-day activities of these customers. The successful candidate will also utilise their relationships with each account to develop new business opportunities and provide VOC and competitor feedback into the wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the relationships with all stakeholders within our automotive key accounts.
  • Provide technical support to customers to support sales development alongside the eMobility team including support for ‘in-field’ issue resolution.
  • Lead commercial discussions for the key accounts supported by the OEM Business Manager. This includes price negotiation and maintaining targets for orders and AR. 
  • Deliver true “Voice of Customer” feedback into our NPD & Business Plans.
  • Understand and communicate the required quality and automotive standards to ensure IRTS is aligned with the customers’ needs.
  • Form relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely communication. Ensure up to date information is shared relating to order forecasts/ deliveries and technical requirements. Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Sound educational background in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Degree level preferred but not essential.
  • Fluency in English and an additional language is highly desired. German, Dutch or French preferred.
  • Full & clean driving license suitable for use in Europe.

 

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based with some travel required (50%)

Key Competencies

  • Proven experience of key account management within the automotive industry (similar industries considered).
  • Proven experience of providing technical support directly to customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, diverse, and evolving work environment.
  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills, the successful candidate should be organized with a structured, process driven approach.
  • Desired:
  • Experience in Product Management, Engineering or relevant technical experience within the automotive Tier 1 supply chain would be desirable.
