Job Summary

An additional Manufacturing Engineer is required to join the High Pressure operations team in our Redditch facility. You will be developing and implementing the strategic plans for production layout, new manufacturing equipment, improved production processes, along with supporting day-to-day manufacturing engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of Work Instructions/SOPs
  • Specification and purchase of new production tooling and equipment
  • Design and implementation of new/modified production layouts
  • Introduction of new technologies (where applicable)
  • Introduction/facilitation of productivity improvements
  • Leading/contributing to specific manufacturing engineering projects as they occur

Basic Qualifications

  • HNC / HND qualified in mechanical / manufacturing / electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Completion of, or studying for, mechanical / manufacturing Engineering degree

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based with possibility of some UK travel to equipment suppliers

Key Competencies

  • Experience of working with assembly processes
  • Knowledge of MRP (ideally SAP)
  • Experience/knowledge of 2D CAD software (ideally AutoCAD)
  • Ability to drive improvement and change
  • Experience/knowledge of production control systems
  • Experience/knowledge of writing SOP’s, control plans, PFMEA’s etc
  • Microsoft office skills (incl Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills
