Pipe Fitter/Fitter   

We are looking for an experience commercial/industrial pipe fitter preferably with Manufacturing experience.

Job Summary

Responsible for various types of Pipe fitting, working to drawing and P & ID, building high pressured compressor up-to 600 bar, Each compressor is bespoke to customers’ requirements. Duplication of fittings is required at times, braising welding required but training will be given.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Cutting and bending up-to 38mm pipework.
  • Joining and bending pipework using various materials (Copper, Cupro nickel, and stainless steel.
  • Working to Drawing and P & ID.
  • Use of SAP is desirable.
  • Working with routing and booked times.
  • Ability to show dexterity using hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
  • Able to use hand bending and powered assisted bending equipment.
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge desirable
  • Team working and communication is essential.
  • Knowledge of improvement techniques is an advantage.

Basic Qualifications

  • Crane training up-to 12 Tonne  
  • Forklift licence
  • Engineering qualification disable.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This role will be based onsite a Redditch Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:45, Friday 07:00 -11:30

 

Key Competencies

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Industrial pipe bending experience.
  • SAP Experience desirable
  • Braising knowledge desirable
  • Use of electric threading machine for screw pipe.
  • Experience in drilling and tapping.
  • Ability to read technical drawing and P & ID
