Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics, this role will work with businesses to create guided analytics in Qlik. The successful candidate will need to be capable of preparing, analyzing, and understanding data to deliver insights, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of one or more Qlik Apps designed to deliver analytics for a particular functional are (e.g. Backlog Reporting, Revenue Reporting, Procurement Reporting)
  • Develop these Qlik apps to help deliver actionable insights to the particular business area. This is not about reporting, it is about presenting data in such a way that the users of the app can answer questions quickly and easily without messing in excel or other tools
  •  Serve as data & analytics expert and empower analysts in the business through training on published datasets, tools, and analytical approaches
  • Role may include assistance with data validation for data products and supporting data quality initiatives
  • Role may including requesting content to the data lake in Snowflake to serve the needs of the team’s current reporting and analytics requirements while supporting future expansion
  • In the future, the role may also include interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and using machine learning

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, including 3+ years in data analytics in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Experience of using Qlik, including dashboard development and Qlik Scripting
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred but not critical if the candidate can demonstrate required competencies

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Hybrid with a small amount of travel (to be discussed at interview)

Key Competencies

  • Qlik. May consider transferring from similar tool (Tableau, PowerBI) for the right candidate
  • Experience rolling out Qlik apps, preferably to 100s of users
  • Experience building communities of analytics users
  • Experience being discipline around data governance topics (consistent nomenclature etc)
  • SQL/Snowflake skills preferred
