Position Summary

The Air Treatment Japan PPC Sales Manager is responsible for leading and expanding the Air Treatment business in Japan, including sales management, customer service operations, technical testing oversight, and strategic business development. This role ensures that air treatment products and solutions—such as filtration, dryers, purification systems, and testing services—meet customer expectations and regulatory standards, while driving revenue growth and operational excellence.


 

Key Responsibilities

A. Sales Leadership & Business Development

  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy for air treatment products and services.
  • Drive growth across key market segments (industrial manufacturing, electronics, pharmaceutical, , etc.).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, vendors, customers, and key accounts.
  • Identify new opportunities, emerging technologies, and  market needs to expand market share.
  • Create annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
  • Lead negotiation of major contracts, pricing strategies, and commercial terms.

B. Service Operations  Oversight

  • Oversee field service teams responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and warranty support.
  • Ensure service quality, response time, and customer satisfaction exceed company benchmarks.
  • Implement service training, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Optimize service workflows, spare parts management, and resource allocation.

C. Testing & Technical Oversight

  • Lead/oversee  local dryer & component testing operations to ensure compliance with Japanese requirements.
  • Ensure testing complies with relevant international and Japanese standards (ISO, JIS, GMP, HACCP, etc.).
  • Review technical reports and ensure accurate documentation and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on product improvements and technical issue resolution.

D. People & Team Management

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of sales engineers, service technicians, and testing specialists.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Build a strong internal culture of customer focus, safety, and continuous improvement.

E. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with North America Air Treatment product management, engineering, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Provide market feedback to guide product roadmap, R&D, and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

F. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all business operations follow corporate governance, ethical guidelines, and Japanese regulations.
  • Prepare monthly reports covering sales performance, pipeline, service KPIs, and testing activities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and service management system data.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in industrial equipment, air treatment, filtration, HVAC, or related technologies.
  • Experience managing sales, service or technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of air quality, compressed air systems, filtration, or environmental controls.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performance teams.
  • Fluent in Japanese, proficient in English for regional communication.
