This position is the entry-level selling position in a customer center which gains the necessary skills to transition to outside sales. Role includes product and technical support which requires parts interpretation, quoting, follow-up, pricing, order processing, expediting and problem solving, dealing directly with distributor and sales professional to generate revenue.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sales Cycle Management: Contact customers, generate quotes, follow up, and manage orders from quote to delivery.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the main contact for customers, converting inactive accounts and promoting recurring service contracts.
  • ERP Maintenance: Keep product codes and pricing updated in the local ERP system.
  • Mentorship: Share best practices and support less experienced peers.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate, complete order processing.
  • Cost Management: Handle outside purchases and transportation expenses efficiently.
  • Compliance & Operations: Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance; operate forklift as required.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate paperwork and prepare reports, presentations, and research as directed.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in inventory control and order expediting within a sales/service environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of industrial projects, fluid systems, and customer handling.
  • Blueprint & Software Skills: Ability to read blueprints and use tools like Windchill.
  • Product Expertise: Experience with industrial equipment, especially pumps and valves.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office; SAP and Oracle experience preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, technical aptitude, urgency, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.
